Hendrik Jordaan is President and Chief Executive Officer of One Thousand & One Voices (1K1V), a $300 million private family capital fund targeting some of the world’s highest growth regions and industries located in Sub-Saharan Africa. 1K1V was designed specifically to leverage the Intellectual, Relational and Patient Financial Capital for greater both higher financial returns and greater prosperity. Following the launch of 1K1V at the World Economic Forum on Africa in 2013, Mr. Jordaan oversees a team of private equity executives with offices located in South Africa, Mauritius and the United States. In his role at 1K1V, Mr. Jordaan has presented at leading global conferences on global private equity investment, mergers and acquisitions, family wealth and impact investing, and has spoken at venues including the Wharton School, Family Office Exchange, Young Presidents Organization, TBLI, DC Finance and the Family Wealth Alliance. He has been featured in some of the world’s top media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, FOX, Bloomberg, CNBC Africa and others. Most recently, Mr. Jordaan was a partner and Global Chair of the Private Equity Investments & Buyouts Practice of Morrison & Foerster LLP, one of the largest law firms in the world, where he specialized in advising financial and strategic buyers and sellers in complex public and private M&A and financing transactions.
